BUYBACK RETURN FORM

Please print and fill out the Buyback Return Form linked above. The paperwork needs to be included in the package with your buyback or rental return. If we receive books without paperwork, you will NOT get buyback or rental credit.

ONLINE BUYBACK

If you choose online buyback, you will be sending your books to a used book company. We have partnered with MBS Textbooks to provide this service in addition to our on campus buyback.

The Mayville State Bookstore strives to have as many used books available as possible for our students. In order to make this happen, students may sell textbooks back to the bookstore during FINALS WEEK of each semester. During summer sessions, we will be buying at any time because of the varied start and stop dates of classes.

Course books that were purchased new and are required for the upcoming semester may be eligible to be sold to the bookstore for UP TO 50% of the new price. If the book was sold used, you may be eligible to receive UP TO 67% of the current used price until quantity needed has been reached. Lab-manual, study guides etc. and optional texts are typically not bought back.

If we are unable to purchase the book for our inventory at Mayville State, a wholesale (used book) company may buy them. We work with multiple companies in the effort to give you the best price possible. You may be offered as much as 33% of the retail price if the book is in high demand; however, you may be offered considerably less. Remember, you are under no obligation to sell your books, but by doing so it helps other students when they are able to buy a quality used book.

Before you sell your books, please be certain you do not need it for a future class. You may need some of your texts for College Composition 120 that you had purchased for College Composition 110 or Accounting II from Accounting I.

Some books will have no value at buyback. Examples include, old editions that we are no longer using, overstock in our bookstore or used books company; workbooks and study aids.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the bookstore at 800-437-4104 ext 34823 or our email: [email protected]
